Saturday October 23rd, 10am-3pm; Cost: $95 Instructor: Ginny Giles
Please join us for a fun and creative day turning your b & w images into one of a kind works of art. We will be working with traditional mediums such as fiber-based prints, oil paints and other art mediums.
You will learn about different subject matter, lighting, composition, colors, papers, films (if you are still shooting analog), color choices, and much more!
You may not consider yourself “artsy” or maybe you don’t even shoot and just want to have a copy made of an old family photograph (great gift idea). You will find that you can create incredible, beautiful pieces by the end of the workshop.
If you are shooting digital or want to touch up an old image, you can now have your digital file made into a fiber-based print at Cox Black and White Lab. I work with fiber prints as they are absorbent and infinitely more workable than inkjet prints.
You will need to bring at least 2- 8×10 or larger prints (fiber-based) with you. I will provide all of the other materials. Also, a sack lunch if you’d like to eat at the studio (near Broadway and 5th St. in Sacramento).
